Supported Approach

Thoughtful written guidance for those who prefer clarity without meetings.

Supported Approach

Supported is for people who prefer to communicate in writing and want thoughtful guidance without attending a meeting.

It offers a structured way to share your wishes through secure online forms, followed by clear, careful written advice and clarification by email before anything is drafted. The process remains organised and professionally overseen, unfolding through written exchange rather than conversation, allowing you time to reflect, respond, and consider your options at a pace that feels comfortable.

The aim is not simply to complete a document, but to ensure you feel supported and confident in the decisions being made — with professional review and explanation throughout, all handled in a way that feels calm, manageable, and comfortable for you.

This service is provided as part of Elephant Legal’s non-reserved legal services. Find out more about how we are regulated.

Pricing and how this works.

Supported begins with an initial fee of £110. This reflects the additional time and care involved in working through your instructions with you, where your wishes may still be developing or need further guidance.

The total cost for this service is £340. Once your instructions are clear and the scope of work has been agreed, the remaining balance of £230 becomes payable before your draft is prepared.

You will always know the full cost before any further work is carried out.

Your journey with Supported

1. Getting started

Once you choose Supported, we confirm the details and make sure everything needed to begin is in place.

You’ll receive clear information about the process, pricing, and what to expect, along with the necessary client care documents. Identity checks are completed so the matter can proceed securely and properly.

Nothing is drafted at this stage — it’s about setting the foundations correctly.

2. Sharing your wishes in writing

You’ll complete a structured online form to explain your wishes in your own words.

This is not simply a tick-box exercise. The form is designed to help you think things through, and you can take your time completing it. Once received, your instructions are reviewed carefully.

An initial fee is taken once your instructions are submitted. This secures the time and professional review needed to consider your circumstances carefully.

If anything needs clarification — or if there are options worth considering — we’ll respond by email with clear written advice and questions so everything can be properly shaped before moving forward.

3. Written advice, agreement and drafting

Through email discussion, we refine your instructions and confirm the scope of work.

Where additional services or costs are needed to properly reflect your wishes, these are explained clearly before anything proceeds.

Once your instructions and the total agreed fee are confirmed, payment is requested. Drafting begins once payment has been received.

Your will is then prepared carefully into a draft document for you to review.

4. Finalising and completion

You’ll have the opportunity to request changes and confirm the final wording.

All amendments continue to be handled in writing, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Once the wording is agreed and the remaining balance has been received, we guide you through the final steps so your will can be signed and completed, with support available right through to the end.

Careful advice, in writing

Supported is handled entirely in writing, but it is never distant or mechanical.

Every set of instructions is reviewed carefully and considered with professional judgement. If something is unclear, incomplete, or could create difficulties in practice, we pause and respond with written advice and questions before anything is drafted.

That’s because confidence comes from understanding. Preparing important documents isn’t about simply filling in a form — it’s about making sure your wishes are clear, workable, and properly thought through.

Supported keeps everything in writing for comfort and clarity, but it does not remove the advice, care, or professional oversight that matters. Nothing is assumed. Nothing is left unchecked.

Nothing assumed. Nothing left unchecked.

  • Often, yes.

Supported is particularly suited to people who prefer written communication, whether for comfort, clarity, or personal preference. The process allows space to think and respond without pressure.

  • No.

Supported is designed to be handled entirely in writing. Communication takes place through structured forms and email, so you can respond in your own time.

If at any stage a meeting would genuinely help clarify something, that would always be discussed with you first — nothing is imposed.

  • Once your form is submitted, your instructions are reviewed carefully.

If anything needs clarification, further thought, or explanation, you’ll receive written advice and questions by email. This allows you time to reflect and respond at your own pace before anything is drafted.

The aim is clarity and confidence, not simply progressing quickly.

  • Yes.

You’ll have the opportunity to review your draft and request changes before anything is finalised. Amendments are handled in writing, and we’ll ensure the final wording clearly reflects your wishes.

  • If it becomes clear that additional services or support are needed to properly reflect your wishes, this will be explained clearly before anything proceeds.

You’ll always have the opportunity to decide how you’d like to move forward.

  • That’s absolutely fine.

If at any stage you feel that a conversation would be helpful, we can talk through the options and agree the best way to continue. Supported does not lock you into one approach.

  • Every instruction is reviewed with professional judgement. If something is unclear, incomplete, or could cause problems in practice, it will be explained in writing so it can be properly considered before drafting begins.

Nothing is assumed or left unchecked.
