Supported Approach

Supported Approach

Supported is for couples who prefer to communicate in writing and want thoughtful guidance without attending a meeting.

It offers a structured way for you both to share your wishes through secure online forms, followed by clear, careful written advice and clarification by email before anything is drafted. Each of you can provide your instructions individually, while we also ensure your wills work properly alongside one another.

The process remains organised and professionally overseen, unfolding through written exchange rather than conversation. This gives you time to reflect — both individually and together — respond thoughtfully, and consider your options at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The aim is not simply to complete two documents, but to ensure you both feel supported and confident in the decisions being made — with professional review and explanation throughout, handled in a way that feels calm, manageable, and balanced for you as a couple.

Your journey with Supported

1. Getting started

Once you choose Supported, we confirm the details for you both and make sure everything needed to begin is in place.

You’ll receive clear information about the process, pricing, and what to expect, along with the necessary client care documents. Identity checks are completed for each of you so the matter can proceed securely and properly.

Nothing is drafted at this stage — it’s about setting the foundations correctly for both wills before any work begins.

2. Sharing your wishes in writing

You’ll each complete a structured online form to explain your wishes in your own words.

This is not simply a tick-box exercise. The forms are designed to help you both think things through carefully, and you can take your time completing them — individually or alongside one another.

Once received, your instructions are reviewed with care. We consider each will on its own terms, while also ensuring they work properly together.

An initial fee is taken once your instructions are submitted. This secures the time and professional review needed to assess both sets of wishes thoughtfully and in context.

If anything needs clarification — or if there are options worth considering, individually or jointly — we’ll respond by email with clear written advice and questions so everything can be properly shaped before moving forward.

3. Written advice, agreement and drafting

Through email discussion, we refine your instructions and confirm the scope of work for both wills.

Each will is considered individually, while ensuring they operate properly together. Where additional services or costs are needed to accurately reflect your wishes — whether individually or jointly — these are explained clearly before anything proceeds.

Once your instructions and the total agreed fee are confirmed, payment is requested. Drafting begins once payment has been received.

Your wills are then prepared carefully into draft documents for you both to review.

4. Finalising and completion

You’ll each have the opportunity to request changes and confirm the final wording of your will.

All amendments continue to be handled in writing, at a pace that feels comfortable for you both. Where adjustments affect one will only, these can be considered individually. Where changes affect you jointly, we ensure everything remains aligned.

Once the wording of both wills is agreed and the remaining balance has been received, we guide you through the final steps so your wills can be signed and properly completed.

Support remains available for you both right through to completion.

Careful advice, in writing

Supported is handled entirely in writing, but it is never distant or mechanical.

Every set of instructions is reviewed carefully and considered with professional judgement. Each will is assessed on its own terms, while also ensuring they work properly together. If something is unclear, incomplete, or could create difficulties in practice — whether individually or jointly — we pause and respond with written advice and questions before anything is drafted.

That’s because confidence comes from understanding. Preparing important documents as a couple isn’t about simply completing two forms — it’s about making sure your wishes are clear, workable, and properly thought through, both separately and alongside one another.

Supported keeps everything in writing for comfort and clarity, but it does not remove the advice, care, or professional oversight that matters. Nothing is assumed. Nothing is left unchecked.

Ready to move forward?

If Supported feels like the right fit for you both, you can begin by completing the online forms. We’ll confirm the next steps and guide you through the process in writing.

Careful, personalised advice delivered entirely in writing — with professional oversight for each will individually and together.

  • Often, yes.

Supported is particularly suited to couples where one or both prefer written communication, whether for comfort, clarity, or personal preference. The process allows space to think and respond without pressure.

  • No.

Supported is designed to be handled entirely in writing for both of you. Communication takes place through structured forms and email, so you can respond in your own time.

Each of you can provide instructions independently if preferred. If at any stage a meeting would genuinely help clarify something, that would always be discussed with you first — nothing is imposed.

  • Once your forms are submitted, your instructions are reviewed carefully.

Each will is considered individually, and we also ensure they operate properly together. If anything needs clarification, further thought, or explanation, you’ll receive written advice and questions by email. This allows you time to reflect — individually or together — before anything is drafted.

The aim is clarity and confidence, not simply progressing quickly.

  • Yes.

You’ll each have the opportunity to review your draft and request changes before anything is finalised. Amendments are handled in writing, and we ensure that any changes continue to work properly alongside one another.

  • If it becomes clear that additional services or support are needed to properly reflect your wishes — whether relating to one will or both — this will be explained clearly before anything proceeds.

You’ll always have the opportunity to decide how you’d like to move forward.

  • Yes.

Although you are preparing your wills together, each of you is entitled to provide instructions independently. If either of you would prefer to clarify something separately, that can be accommodated within the written process.

Your wills are prepared with professional oversight to ensure they work properly together, while still respecting individual instructions.

  • No.

Many couples choose similar or “mirror” provisions, but this is not required. Each will reflects the wishes of the individual making it.

Our role is to ensure clarity and that both documents operate properly in practice, whether they are closely aligned or structured differently.

  • That’s absolutely fine.

If at any stage either of you feels that a conversation would be helpful, we can talk through the options and agree the best way to continue. Supported does not lock you into one approach.

  • Yes.

Every instruction is reviewed with professional judgement. If something is unclear, incomplete, or could cause problems in practice — whether affecting one will individually or how the two interact — it will be explained in writing before drafting begins.

Nothing is assumed. Nothing is left unchecked.
